LST Projects helped to transform the emergency department at Southampton General Hospital in preparation for managing COVID-19. The work involved:

• Constructing a triage tent for assessing COVID-19 patients outside the department.
• Creating a bespoke covered walkway, used for safely transferring patients with respiratory symptoms to the appropriate area within the hospital.
• Creating drive through testing pods and shelters.
• Providing additional capacity for the mortuary.

Led by our Site Manager, the LST Team worked day and night to complete these projects as quickly as possible. The new structure sensured the hospital was extremely well prepared to help patients of all ages.
