West Sussex Estates Partnership on behalf of NHS Property Services appointed LST Projects to carry out landlord compliance works to the outpatients department in Yellow Wing at Crawley Hospital.

LST was responsible for stripping out internal spaces and installing new mechanical and electrical infrastructure, ceilings, flooring, and doors as well as redecoration. To minimise disruption, LST created a separate area providing a temporary space for the outpatients department, ensuring it could continue to operate at the hospital throughout the works.

Measures were also put in place to minimise environmental impact, including a waste management plan aimed at recycling or reusing as many building materials as possible.

The location of this project required stringent measures to ensure the hospital, service providers and patients were not affected by the works, and that hygiene was prioritised. Infection control was paramount importance, which saw LST implement rigorous site operating procedures.
