This was a full design and build contract of refurbishment works to a section of the Austen building creating an Independence Hub within the campus.

The HSDC Alton Independence Hub enables students with SEN requirements to learn essential life skills such as cooking and washing clothes, so they can gain the independence needed to move out and live on their own. Alongside this, the students will take part in other activities such as arts and crafts.

We also refurbished an area of the Foulkes building to provide outstanding teaching and learning areas to support the delivery of the Health and Science T-Levels at the Alton campus. This area allows the students to learn and practise practical care skills and supports classroom-based learning activities.
