A total of 53 windows will be replaced by LST and more energy-efficient lighting installed throughout the school. The project also involves aesthetic improvements, including new ceilings.
To minimise disruption for pupils and staff, the work will be delivered in six phases.
Robert Tuffin, commercial director at LST, said: “Although some temporary classrooms have been allocated, there is limited space for moving pupils while these upgrades take place. Our carefully phased construction programme will help to overcome this challenge and enable teaching staff to prepare for the works.
“Our site team will also ensure daily communication with management to ensure any concerns or queries are addressed as quickly and efficiently as possible.”
The contract is the second of its kind to be awarded to LST by architects Kendall Kingscott, with our team currently carrying out similar works to St Anne’s Catholic School in Southampton.
