The works comprised of the following:

Centre Block HV Chiller Upgrade: This involved the switch gear replacement to enhance the resilience of both the HV & LV supplies to roof mounted mechanical plant (chillers).The project involved the construction of a new HV substation/ switching station beneath the West Wing annexe and a new LV switch room on the roof to house anew LV panel.

Neuro LV Replacement: This involved the replacement of two existing LV panels located within Level A of the Neurology Block, with one new LV panel located within a new build extension to the existing external main neuro substation. Submain cables were taken from here via newly constructed belowground cable trenches, entering the building in two locations at Level A and rising to ceiling void level, to serve every existing distribution board across all floors of the building.
