LST Projects

LST was appointed to refurbish the pool area and wet-side changing rooms at Malvern Splash Leisure Centre in Worcestershire. The £2 million project was delivered during the Covid-19 lockdown, with work taking place between September 2020 and January 2021.

In the pool area, a new flume and interactive water play equipment were installed. The poolside was modernised with new tiling, updated fittings including handrails and steps, and refreshed wall and ceiling finishes. A large external glazed façade was replaced to enhance the building’s exterior, while the entire changing area underwent a full refurbishment.

The project also included the creation of improved facilities for disabled users and expanded areas for families. New walls, flooring, ceiling finishes, and drainage systems were installed, along with new cubicles and lockers to improve functionality and comfort for visitors.

LST was responsible for the mechanical and electrical elements of the scheme, which included the replacement of the air handling unit and the installation of energy-efficient LED lighting throughout the centre.

The refurbishment was designed by Arkon Associates, with Clarkson Alliance overseeing project and cost management.
