Freedom Leisure, in partnership with Fenland District Council, invested £1million into Hudson Leisure Centre to improve the lives of local residents, providing unrivalled fitness facilities in Fenland - all under one roof.
LST’s scope of works included the delivery of a new state-of-the-art gym, group exercise studio and café as well as a new reception and refurbished entrance area.
The 28-week programme was completed nearly three months ahead of schedule and in a live environment. This required LST to split the work into three phases to minimise disruption for customers and leisure centre staff who were kept continuously updated on the works by our site manager.
Local Fenland contractors were also recruited into the LST team to help support the local economy.
This is the fourth leisure centre that LST have upgraded for Freedom Leisure. Other projects include, Arun Leisure Centre in Bognor Regis, de Stafford Sports Centre in Caterham and Tandridge Leisure Centre in Oxted, Surrey.
