Clinical utility room with white cabinetry, stainless-steel worktops, wall-mounted dispensers and a TV on the adjoining wall, part of the G3 Ward refurbishment.

This project delivered a complete modernisation of outdated hospital ward areas, transforming a tired space into a state-of-the-art clinical environment. Designed to enhance comfort, dignity, and accessibility, the scheme reimagined the layout to prioritise patient wellbeing and staff efficiency.

To improve patient privacy and comfort, overall occupancy was reduced, allowing for more personal space. En-suite facilities were added to each room, and overhead hoists were installed to support safe and efficient patient movement.

The works included the conversion of three 3-bed wards, one 5-bed ward, and two single rooms. High-spec hermetically sealed glazed partitions and motorised sliding doors with integrated blinds were installed, along with extensive underfloor drainage infrastructure to support the upgraded layout.

Although the project faced initial delays due to late-stage design updates, a committed team effort and extended working hours ensured delivery ahead of schedule. The facility was successfully handed over on 18 December, surpassing the original January completion date.
