There aren’t many businesses which can survive a century, so we’re really proud to be one of them. In fact, we’ve gone way past our milestone anniversary as in 2018, we will be celebrating 123 years in the construction industry.

Our resilience and willingness to change has seen us continuously evolve since Louis S Tuffin started trading in 1895 as a builder and decorator. Growing through five generations of the same family, we’ve transformed from a general maintenance and ‘handy man’ business into a major construction contractor.

LST was up and running before the internet, television, air travel, the Great Depression and the end of the first World War. We’ve seen the business world and our clients’ needs change dramatically since that time.

But one thing that’s stayed the same is our focus on delivering the highest quality service and workmanship. We don’t break promises. We do what we say we’re going to do, ensuring we always meet or exceed the standards our clients expect.

There are lots of construction companies that make the same claim; however, our longevity is proof of the pudding.  

As we look ahead to 2018, no doubt our industry will face further change and with that will bring both challenges and opportunities.
