LST Projects has delivered a comprehensive three-phase programme of heating, electrical and structural infrastructure improvements at Horsham Hospital, working on behalf of NHS Property Services.
The programme focused on modernising ageing infrastructure, improving the reliability of essential building services and preparing the hospital for future low-carbon heating technologies.
Undertaken within a fully operational healthcare environment, the works required careful planning, specialist expertise and close collaboration with multiple stakeholders to minimise disruption to patients, staff and the hospital's daily operations.
The project included the following key works:
Phase 2 – Main Boiler House Upgrade: Provision of temporary heating, replacement of three permanent boilers, new pipework, flues and Building Management System (BMS).
Phase 3 – Electrical Infrastructure and Enabling Works: Main electrical panel replacement, coordinated power isolations and phased water tower demolition involving asbestos removal and specialist temporary works.
Working closely with NHS Property Services, GB Partnerships and the hospital's estates team, the works were carefully coordinated to minimise disruption to essential healthcare services.
The completed programme has improved the hospital's heating and electrical infrastructure, enhanced operational resilience and provided a foundation for future sustainable heating technologies.
