LST Projects was appointed by Bovis Homes, Bloor Homes, and Linden Homes to design and build a new Community Centre and Sports Pavilion as part of a major new housing development in Boorley Green, Hampshire.

The £2.6 million project involved the construction of two single-storey buildings, with work on both taking place simultaneously.

The Community Centre features two multi-use halls, two kitchens, meeting rooms, a foyer, office space, public toilets, a bar/café, storage areas, and dedicated car parking. The Sports Pavilion provides changing facilities, showers, and a range of ancillary spaces for staff.

One of the key challenges was the requirement to achieve BREEAM Excellent – a planning condition for the project – with both buildings needing to be completed within just 11 months. As the facilities form part of a wider housing development also under construction, careful scheduling and coordination were essential to align with the activities of other contractors on site.

As a Considerate Constructor, LST also took proactive steps to minimise disruption to local residents and respond promptly to any concerns raised.

This marks the second community project LST has delivered for Bloor Homes in support of large-scale residential developments. We were previously appointed to design and construct the Fair Oak Community Centre for a new housing scheme in Eastleigh.
