LST Projects was appointed by Winchester City Council to design and build three new light industrial business units in Bishops Waltham, as part of a £1.8 million investment to support local enterprise.
The 35-week programme transformed a former storage depot into 6,576 sq. ft of high-quality commercial space. The project began with the demolition of the existing building and the bulk excavation of the 0.95-acre sloping site to create a level footprint for construction.
Following a detailed ground investigation, we carried out soil improvement works to stabilise the subbase and enable a traditional build approach. LST was responsible for the full construction of the new units, as well as associated services and all external works.
Sustainability was a key focus throughout, with the project achieving a BREEAM ‘Excellent’ rating – a reflection of the high standards met in environmental performance, energy efficiency and sustainable construction practices.
